The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources. The Education Portfolio plays a key role in empowering students to access education, participate actively in the life of the University and achieve successful and fulfilling lives beyond graduation. The provision of a stimulating and satisfying experience for students is a priority for the University.
The Role and Your Responsibilities
The HR Senior Advisor - Education will manage the delivery of HR services from the central HR function into Education Portfolio to ensure they are aligned to business requirements, provide business impact and meet standards required. They are responsible for managing complex issues, providing creative problem-solving, support and managing special projects for the HRBP Education
Skills & Experience Required
You will have demonstrated successful experience in partnering with senior stakeholders to achieve business objectives through the people agenda. You will have experience delivering professional HR advice and solutions to managers in a large organisation including policy advice and interpretation, industrial relations, performance management, remuneration, workforce planning, organisational development/training, change and recruitment. Important to this role will be your experience in coaching an executive team and senior managers on the full range of HR areas of expertise. Your highly developed communication skills will see you successfully liaise with HR Shared Services Advisors, Shared Services teams, Policy & Workplace Relations, Change, OD, Recruitment, Remuneration/Workforce Planning, OH&S and HR systems to ensure effective delivery of HR services to the Education Portfolio to ensure successful outcomes.
