Technical Skills Instructor – Games Engine Programming

Location:  Stoke campus
Salary:   £27,629 to £32,004 per annum
Tenure:  Full time permanent, working 37 hours per week

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional technician to support the University’s Computing awards in the area of Games Programming. This role will involve working closely with staff and Technical Services colleagues to assist students in their studies and deliver technical instruction in key hardware and software. You will have a strong working knowledge of games engine programming environments, Unity, Unreal Games Engines, Microsoft and Apple Operating Systems and the development environments for games consoles, C#, C++, Visual Basic .NET, Objective-C, Swift Object-oriented interfaces with Microsoft and Apple products and computer graphics using DirectX and OpenGL to support academic and student projects, evidenced by relevant experience. Knowledge of the games industry and processes would be an advantage. 

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver technical instruction to students face to face.   You will need to be self-motivated and a strong team player who is able to work under pressure and manage demands whilst delivering a quality service to students.
