While in its development and expansion phase, the University’s R&D team expects as many as 10,000 students to be studying and earning degrees there. To support the University’s strategic development within the next five years, the University’s School of Science and Engineering (SSE) is making significant investments in new academic positions.  The SSE’s department of Natural Resource Engineering and Management is seeking enthusiastic and well-qualified candidates to fill in the position of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor, or Professor in Petroleum Engineering. The candidate would support the ongoing teaching activities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University.

Minimum Qualifications:

This prospective full-time faculty member will have the following minimum qualifications, skills and competencies:

Earned a master’s or doctorate in Petroleum Engineering related field and must be strongly committed to quality scholarly research. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated record of acceptances or publications in peer-reviewed journals. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to native-level English speakers. Areas of specialization are open, but preference will be given to applicants with expertise in Petroleum Engineering and teaching advanced well logging or related modules. Individuals with strong interests in advanced research are especially encouraged to apply. Experience also in engaging in collaborative partnerships with higher education institutions, education agencies, and/or the professional and scholarly discipline are preferred. Candidates that hold Professional Engineering License or are Chartered Engineers are encouraged to apply.
