Appointment of Executive Director Professional and Support Services

Kingston University is the largest higher education provider in South West London, with students from over 140 countries and an annual income of around £200 million. This is an exciting time to join Kingston University. With the appointment of the new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Steven Spier, the university has embarked on a new Corporate Plan to deliver a major transformation of its academic and professional services that places students at the heart of all it does.

The University is now seeking a new Executive Director Professional and Support Services, reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and who as a key member of the University’s Senior Management Team, will assist in the delivery of the new Plan to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the University’s professional and support services. The Executive Director Professional and Support Services will be responsible for the University’s corporate and operational services, encompassing Estates, Information and Technology Services, Marketing and External Communications, Development and Alumni Relations and Governance, and including accountability for core business functions supporting Student Life services. Candidates will be committed to providing the best possible corporate services to support and underpin the University’s overall performance, for the benefit of all. 

Successful candidates will bring significant strategic leadership and management experience ideally within the Higher Education sector. With a sound knowledge and understanding of the issues facing the sector, candidates will have the ability to identify and build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and have a track record of successful implementation and delivery of change programmes. Critically, candidates will have the ability to influence, motivate and inspire diverse groups of people and have a strong alignment with the mission and values of the University.
