About the team: as part of the Business Development division, you will be embedded into the Faculty of Science. The Business Development division leads the development and stewardship of relationships with industry, the not-for profit sector, governments and communities that materially benefit the reputation and/or financial position of the University. The division also supports the University’s goals and objectives in the leadership and co-ordination of business development and innovation across the University.  The Faculty of Science is internationally renowned for its excellence in teaching and research. The University of Western Australia is rated above world standard in 38 fields of research, and 79% of these are a science field. We have world leading expertise across a diversity of disciplines embracing the agricultural, biological, chemical, earth, environmental, human, molecular and psychological sciences. 

About the opportunity: reporting to the Associate Director, Business Development (Industry), you will work closely with the Faculty of Science leadership team to manage a program of business development and industry engagement projects from identification, initiation, implementation and review.  You will work collaboratively with other professional support teams including research development, development and alumni relations and research commercialisation to develop new projects that materially benefit the reputation and/or financial position of the University.
