Department of English and Committee on Degrees in History and Literature Position Description

The Department of English and the Committee on Degrees in History and Literature seek applications for a visiting assistant professor, visiting associate professor, or lecturer in Asian American literature. The appointment is expected to begin August 1, 2017, or January 1, 2017.

The position is part-time for one semester or one year. The visiting faculty member will be responsible for teaching one or two courses on Asian American literature. We are flexible as to the timing and distribution of the course(s): one course could be taught in just one semester; two courses could be taught in the same semester; or two courses could be taught over the year, one in each semester.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate in literature or related discipline required by the time the appointment begins.

Additional Qualifications

Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching is desired.
