Job Outline

The post holder will be working with members in the Curriculum & Exam Services team in Academic Services Office to provide curriculum, exam and timetabling related services to students and staff.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Master’s degree;
  • Effective communication skills at all levels with strong oral and written skills in both Chinese and English;
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet the deadline;
  • Excellent data management and analysis skills;
  • Ability to respond effectively to feedbacks;
  • Experience of dealing with confidential information;

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To schedule teaching timetable, including collecting and analysing teaching data, publishing and maintaining timetables;
  • To schedule University exam timetable and invigilation schedules for University end of semester (Autumn/Spring) and re-sit examinations;
  • To liaise with schools/departments to collect and analyse exam data;
  • To provide regular invigilation trainings to staff;
  • To assess requests from students and schools/departments and liaise with relevant departments at UNNC and UK/Malaysia campuses as appropriate to schedule special exams (e.g. online exams, overseas exams etc.);
  • To deal with exam related emergencies during exam periods to solve problems efficiently;
  • To coordinate with relevant departments and staff (e.g. School Exam Officers, Faculty Offices, Estates, Logistics, IT etc. ) to ensure smooth operations of exams;
  • To organise and support other University tests, e.g. College English Test Band 4 & 6, Tri-Unity Scheme Test, etc.;
  • To support Roombooking;
  • To liaise with the bookshop, schools and professional service departments to coordinate the textbook services for students;
  • To support the maintenances of University curriculum/module database;
  • To work with other function units within the Office at key points of the academic year (e.g. Graduation, Registration) in order to ensure a ‘fit for purpose’ administrative support service to all areas of the Office’s work and responsibilities;
  • To participate in training and staff development schemes as trainer or trainee as appropriate;
  • To maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness;
  • To undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.
