Technical Officer – multiple positions available

Multiple positions are available within the Technical Support Group of the School of Engineering and Information Technology at UNSW Canberra.
About the Role:
- Level 4: $64 538 - $68,080 pa (+17% super)
- Level 5: $70,395 - $79,655 pa (+17% super)
- Full Time (35 hours per week)
About the Successful Applicant:
Depending upon the skills and capabilities of the successful applicant, a Technical Officer will be principally located in either the mechanical workshops, electronics workshops or teaching and/or research laboratories within SEIT. The Technical Officer will be assigned a project or task depending upon the current priorities for the Technical Support Group (TSG) and will be expected to work either independently, or with a team of other technical officers with a range of different technical skills, to meet the deadlines provided by the Task Supervisor or Engineering Manager.
Depending upon the scope and complexity of the task or project, and individual technical and leadership skills, the Technical Officer may be required to lead an task or project, or work with a range of different task or project leaders. The Technical Officer will need to be flexible in order to adapt to constantly evolving School and TSG priorities.
We are interested in attracting applicants who have high quality technical skills as well as the ability to work autonomously both individually or within a team and feel comfortable communicating with stakeholders ranging from colleagues and higher degree research students, to academics and the Head of School.
