The Department of Creative Professions and Digital Arts (CPDA) is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Digital Film and Television Production for our Film and Television provision. Based in the state-of-the-art Stockwell Street Building the CPDA department has excellent facilities, a talented staff and award-winning student film makers. As well as residing next to the Old Royal Naval College, one of the most popular filming locations in the world, the Stockwell Street Building houses up-to-date equipment, professional studio and editing facilities.

You will contribute to the delivery of existing courses and programmes at all levels, especially the BSc Digital Film Production, noting that we are looking for someone with a background in film/TV with insight into the production process. You should have a strong practical and technical background and also be highly knowledgeable about the changing digital environment.
The Department has a strong profile for study in the Creative Industries, and our research emphasis is on the use of digital technologies for creative practice.  The post is suitable for a candidate with either a PhD or willingness to complete one who is looking to develop their career in Film and Television education, noting the importance of maintaining and extending contacts with the industry.

We are especially interested in hearing from candidates who are able to contribute to the Department’s student employability strategy and develop research and enterprise activity for CPDA within their specialist field.

In this role you will be expected to contribute to discussions about our technical resources and curriculum design issues in conjunction with technical and academic staff, from the perspective of digital production, and to encourage the best use and continuous improvement of our facilities in the Stockwell Street building. This includes contributing to the development of teaching material, using a VLE and case studies for courses taught on campus and also at collaborative centres to provide a rich set of resources in this area.
