Vice-President - Advancement
The Australian National University (ANU) is ranked in the global top 20, making us unique in the nation. Based in the capital city, the ANU is a distinctive institution, renowned for the quality of our research, the excellence of our teaching, and the University’s ongoing contribution to public policy and public life.
We pride ourselves on the impact ANU has had, and nowhere is that greater than through our alumni. ANU graduates are making contributions worldwide, at every level and in every sector. We have also blazed the trail in philanthropy, setting the benchmark among Australian universities when we accepted the remarkable Tuckwell Gift, worth over $100 million.
To build on these extraordinary foundations, the ANU is seeking to appoint a visionary leader to the new role of Vice-President, Advancement. Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and President, Nobel Laureate Professor Brian Schmidt AC, the successful candidate will redefine alumni relations and philanthropic giving at ANU. The new Vice-President will do so as a member of the ANU Executive, playing a senior leadership role across the University.
We are seeking a gifted communicator, able to engage with alumni, stakeholders and philanthropists, and an inspiring fundraiser with a compelling track record. Candidates should have the leadership experience, professional confidence and significant achievements to consider themselves among the world’s leading advancement professionals.
