Charles Sturt University is a significant enterprise with an annual operating income in excess of $550M and assets of $1.4B. We currently have a vacancy for a dynamic and strategic financial leader within the Division of Finance.

The Division of Finance is responsible for the provision of financial services to the University. The Division’s goal is to provide timely, flexible and responsive financial information to facilitate efficient and effective management throughout the University. The Division of Finance aims to lead the University in making strategic resource management decisions through the provision of professional financial services and leadership and the effective and sustainable operation of University enterprises.

This position is responsible for the preparatory work and timely completion of the University’s mid-year and annual statutory financial statements and other external reporting requirements, and for the procedures and associated governance that contribute to their preparation. The position will also support the Director Corporate Finance and the Corporate Finance team in the ongoing review of financial strategies, systems and procedures.

The successful incumbent will be progressing towards a Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant accreditation and membership with previous experience preparing and completing yearly reports for large enterprises in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
