Job Description

The Instructional Technologist in the College of Arts and Sciences provides specialized support of educational technology for the college; supports faculty, staff, and students across the colleges departments and programs; is responsible for the exploration, technical development, management and support of instructional technologies, including the support of online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses and programs; promotes understanding and use of instructional technologies to enhance learning.

Required Skills

Masters degree in Educational Technology or a related field, with experience in instructional design, information technology or a related discipline. Teaching experience is a plus. Effective knowledge of LMS course management systems and related online learning software and systems. Good project management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedules and timelines. Strong customer service skills absolutely necessary. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Energetic, self-directed, motivated and professional individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner. Ability to work productively and independently as an individual. Experience working with faculty and students providing technical support and customer service in technology. Knowledge of current research on best practices in pedagogy and educational technology.
