The Division of Information Technology (DIT) is responsible and accountable for the strategic management, development and support of information and communications technology (ICT) across Charles Sturt University, and the provision of related services to all staff and students of CSU.
The Division of Information Technology is committed to a strong service culture. It focuses on delivering ‘fit for purpose’ quality services to the University community. DIT is responsible for the execution of the Initiatives and Strategy Implementation Plan (ISIP), and works in partnership with organisational units and external providers in the delivery of projects. The programs and projects are prioritised by the senior executives in alignment with strategic objectives and business value. DIT also supports the project management activities, and provides budget, expenditure, schedule, contract and resource information.
The Information Technology Security Officer will operate as a member of the Information Technology Security team, providing support for the University IT Security Management Program, and providing significant security expertise and perspective to the technical and operational IT security functions of the Division.
The incumbent is responsible for promoting and implementing information security management policies and practices across all areas of the University, including University projects and external engagements. The position is responsible for implementing the information security and risk management standards, policies and practices of the University in alignment with legislation and relevant external audit requirements, business requirements and solution outcomes.
