Applicants must have a PhD in an appropriate area of Biomedical Sciences that compliments the research and teaching in the Biomedical Sciences and/or Cellular and Molecular Biosciences programmes. An ability to contribute to teaching in areas of human physiology and pathology is desirable, although research interests need not be in these areas. Strong candidates will have a solid, externally funded research programme, with publications in leading internationally refereed journals.
The successful applicant will contribute to the School's undergraduate and graduate teaching programmes in Physiology and Biomedical Science, including graduate supervision. This will include ensuring that both the curriculum and teaching are informed by research.
In addition to meeting teaching and research goals, the position is designed to assist in strengthening the relationship between the School and Wellington based biomedical research institutes and hospitals.
