At Staffordshire University, our vison is to be a great regional university connected to businesses, industry and health care providers and to our local communities working with schools, colleges and partner organisations to continue to raise aspirations, improve progression into higher education and to contribute to the health, social and economic development.

The School of Health and Social Care (HSC) is fundamental to meeting this vision by offering a range of health and social care courses from undergraduate through to doctoral level study, supporting students through all stages of their career including professional development, and a range of workforce development modules and study days.

The school works closely with practice partners to prepare and develop health care and social work professionals to provide high quality care.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching and assessment of the advanced clinical practice course at postgraduate level, as well as supporting other undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Nursing and other health related programmes.

You will be engaged in research and knowledge-exchange activity including CPD, short course activities and develop your own personal area of scholarship and professional expertise.

You must possess excellent clinical knowledge and skills in advanced clinical practice and be registered with the NMC (part 1) or on an appropriate part of the HCPC register.   You must hold a higher degree and be qualified to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline and have subject expertise with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy.

To help us achieve our vision, we are seeking to appoint a registered Nurse or allied health professional, who has and advanced clinical practice qualification or experience in delivering this education and M level.  The successful candidates need to effectively articulate their contribution to improving patient services, through education, research and innovation.
The post holders will need to demonstrate contemporary knowledge and experience in a health care environment. Facilitating student-centered education in higher education is desirable, along with the motivation and ability to innovate and evaluate current programmes.
