Lecturer Grade 7 currently £33,518 - £38,833 per annum

Senior Lecturer Grade 8 currently £39,992 - £47,722 per annum
(Appointment as Senior Lecturer will be considered should a suitable candidate come forward who has the relevant experience, skills and qualities to take on the responsibilities associated with an appointment at this level).

It is the home of the UK’s Epic Games Centre and the university has won national awards for educational initiatives with the Games  Industry.
We are looking for enthusiastic,  new staff with a “can do attitude” to join the exciting and rapidly expanding Department of Games and Visual Effects, within The School of Computing and Digital Technologies.

You would be expected to engage with enterprise activity, as well as developing your individual research and university research profiles. You will also be expected to contribute to engagement with schools, colleges and recruitment activities. We ensure the success of our courses through constant meaningful collaboration with the games industry, which you will be a part of.

We are looking for experienced candidates in Games Technical Design who have demonstrable excellence in
 

  • UE4 and Unity Games Engines
  • Have a portfolio of innovative and creative uses of games engines
  • Have worked on games developed in or for a AAA studios or an SME
  • Demonstrate a willingness to undertake a PhD
