The University of Wollongong (UoW) has been appointed by the Australian Government to lead a national multi-stakeholder consortium, Dementia Training Australia (DTA), to provide dementia training and education to the workforce. DTA is a service established to provide dementia-specific training to a range of professionals working across aged care, health care, community service providers and, undergraduate trainees. Our goal is to improve the care and wellbeing of people with dementia. 

DTA is a part of the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health (SMAH), a faculty that is committed to quality outcomes delivered via a sustainable model where development and innovation are key elements of all that we do. SMAH is one of UOW’s five Faculties and incorporates the Schools of Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Earth and Environmental Science, Nursing, and the School of Medicine (incorporating Graduate Medicine).

DTA offers training packages tailored to the specific needs of aged care organisations. This role will be responsible for the efficient and effective national coordination of Tailored Training Packages. This position will plan, prepare and evaluate educational processes and activities, ensuring adherence to DTAs strategic vision.
