JOB SCOPE

The Research Coordinator is responsible for all administrative operations of the Research Department, including but not limited to; paying bills and assisting in monitoring budget; compiling and distributing weekly prospect manager assignment requests; updating BBEC with prospect manager assignments, capacity ratings and other pertinent information; writing, compiling and distributing daily news alerts; researching basic requests from development officers for current contact information;  managing the file room; ordering supplies and managing up to five work study students.

Taking a key role in the overall management of Research office this position will pay bills and order supplies (this involves preparing A/P disbursement requests, purchasing and ordering, and processing requisitions, subscriptions and other documents); updating research requests to Sharepoint; registering for online webinars and training for research team, and ensuring all room and AV preparations are made and completed for same, including researching basic contact information and similar requests for development officers; managing file room and file requests, and interviewing, hiring, training and supervising up to five work study students to assist in this and other tasks. The file room training alone includes taking full responsibility for all compliance with confidentiality practices; creating and implementing “best practices” and procedures for optimum efficiency including determining what information belongs in a file and what should be attached as a document to the prospect’s BBEC record. This is a complex process that involves a solid understanding of stewardship levels and all the DAR departments.

This role also must write compile and distribute the daily News Alerts, a digest of pertinent news articles, SEC documents, and press releases pertaining to principal and leadership gift prospects, this includes determining which information is important enough to be distributed and to whom, and write a summary of each news story in the context of the prospect’s involvement, and attaches each news alert to the prospect’s BBEC record.
