Job Description

Boston University's Creative Services (CS) team is looking for a talented, smart, detail-oriented print project manager who is responsible for drafting, tracking, and managing project deadlines. Ensure projects move through internal channels on time; identify scheduling problems, and negotiate solutions with appropriate staff. The print project manager (PPM) is responsible for the management of Creative Services online project tracking database and day-to-day data entry across online systems; the PPM also collaborates with CS staff on workflow and systems training. The PPM reports to the Assistant Director, Print Design, and assists with developing, planning, analyzing, and evaluating information for projects, managing priorities, resources, assignments, and project tasks; works with Account Management staff in directing and coordinating all aspects of projects with internal creative team. Required Skills

BA/BS, one to three years' related experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple projects under deadline. Must have the ability and initiative to learn new technologies and adapt to systems quickly. Must be able to take direction and work independently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and on high visibility projects. Basic understanding of print production process preferred. Knowledge of OmniPlan (or comparable scheduling software) required; knowledge of ActiveCollab (online project management tool) preferred. Proofreading skills a plus.
