Assistant Professor Veterinary Surgery & Radiology
The position is responsible to the Dean, through the Head of Department, Veterinary Science. The appointee will be required to teach Undergraduate & Postgraduate classes of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, developing undergraduate & postgraduate programmes, monitoring staff, research publications and consultancy activities in the area of expertise in the region. All activities related to teaching such as regular review of units, upgrade of equipment and resources, development of new programmes should be carried out in a professional manner. Activities associated with tutorials, lecturing, exam paper preparation, marking are to be implemented according to the policies and procedures of the university.
PHD in relevant discipline with either a formal tertiary teaching qualification or a good relevant tertiary (normally an aggregate of four years) teaching experience. In exceptional cases, a good Master’s degree or professional qualification with a formal tertiary teaching qualification or several years of relevant tertiary teaching experience or several years of relevant industry experience may be considered.
