About the role

Contribute to the discipline at the national and international level, providing high quality teaching, developing engaging and innovative curriculum and undertaking research. Obtain research funding and contribute to our robust research culture of excellence. You will be required to supervise Higher Degree by Research students, build credible, strong relationships and engage with industry. The provision of leadership and mentoring of others in curriculum design and development and in the delivery of teaching will be required.

Skills & Experience

You will possess a PhD in a relevant discipline or have the equivalent experience, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and supervise students. A strong record of research is essential with a record of interdisciplinary research and collaboration and the ability to prepare research proposals. You will be competent in computer coding and possess the ability to develop curriculum.

Key areas of interests include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Virtual & augmented reality, visualisation, human-computer interaction, computer graphics, digital media
  • Interaction design, information design, performance technology, interactive animation, creative technology, technical arts
