We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to nationally competitive grant applications and the publication and dissemination of Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative (PaCCSC) clinical trial results, and to enhancing the profile of research within the Faculty of Health at the University of Technology Sydney.

About the Role

Reporting to the Professor of Palliative Care Medicine, The Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be responsible for establishing their own program of palliative care research, contributing to evaluation of findings, assisting with grant funding applications and specific research-related tasks of the Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative. PaCCSC national office is based within IMPACCT in the Faculty of Health, University of Technology Sydney, with some team members working at other locations in Queensland and South Australia.

Strong candidates for this position will have:

  • Experience in the conduct of clinical trials and/or palliative care
  • A track record of contributing to/ first authoring peer reviewed publications
  • Quantitative or qualitative data analysis skills
  • Understanding of palliative care research
  • Proven ability to publish in high quality journals
  • A PhD in health or health related discipline and some postdoctoral research experience in palliative care
  • The proven ability to obtain external grants for research
  • Previous experience in research in clinical research relevant to palliative care.

Remuneration/Salary          

Base Salary: $99,924 to $114,343 pa (Level B)

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for three years.
