Job Description

The Assistant Director, Operations oversees the daily operations of Innovate@BU, including all administrative operations, budget planning, management, tracking and reporting, payroll, and post-award administration for external funding. Hire and supervise student employees and administrative staff. Support activities of the Executive Director, Marketing Communications Manager, and External Advisory Board.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. degree required, Master's degree preferred. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP/BUWorks. Detailed oriented and organized. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think strategically, work independently, and be proactive. At least five years of experience working in a university environment. Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
