Leeds Trinity University is a modern university with an emerging research and knowledge exchange culture.  The scale of the institution provides for an extremely supportive environment and facilitates research across discipline boundaries.  Psychology is well resourced and has a significant reputation for high quality teaching.  Student feedback is excellent and we have consistently performed well in the National Student Survey and teaching quality is reflected in the recent TEF results
We are seeking to strengthen our staffing in Educational Psychology for our Psychology and Child Development programme and you should also be able to contribute to core areas of Psychology as well as teach quantitative or qualitative research methods.
The successful candidate will join a well-established group of Psychologists who provide BPS accredited undergraduate programmes in Counselling Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Psychology, Psychology and Child Development and Sport Psychology, and a BPS conversion MSc course.   Recruitment to Psychology is buoyant and we are also expanding our research and knowledge exchange capacity.
We welcome applications from candidates who have a PhD (or who are close to completing their PhD) in Psychology or a closely related area of study or from Professional Psychologists with the equivalent expertise and experience.  Applicants should be either research active with a track record of publications commensurate to their career stage or able to contribute to knowledge exchange activities.  The ability to work as an effective team member, contributing to the provision of high quality teaching across Psychology at undergraduate and post-graduate level is essential.  All new research active staff will ideally be expected to contribute to REF2021.
The post will provide an ideal opportunity for an early or mid-career academic to contribute to the development of our research activity, post graduate studies and CPD provision.  We offer an excellent range of benefits including generous holiday entitlements, staff development opportunities and a pension scheme.
