The Faculty of Engineering and Environment is passionate about the principles and applications of Science and Technology in all its forms and strives to be excellent in research, teaching and innovation.
Working within Department of Architecture & Built Environment, you will provide expertise in an area of Architecture to further enhance research, teaching and entrepreneurial activities. This will include designing, developing and delivering high quality teaching activities, undertaking individual and joint research to produce quality academic outputs and inform teaching and participating in external activity to generate income and promote the subject. The Department has particular strengths in architectural design quality, urban design, architectural education and Building Information Modelling (BIM). The Department will consider high quality applicants in these or any relevant area of research, though candidates with expertise in construction technology, architectural history & theory, and practice management & law are particularly encouraged to apply. High quality candidates in any area of expertise within the scope of the Department are also welcome to apply.
You must hold RIBA Part I and Part II degrees and, ideally, you will be either qualified (SL) or soon to be qualified (L) to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline and have subject expertise with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. Proven ability to deliver practice led teaching or high quality research led teaching within an appropriate field and a publication/output profile are essential. Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body is desirable.
