Department Of Geography

Academic
Grade 7 (£32,004 - £38,183)

This role is Full Time and Fixed Term with a planned end date of 31 August 2018.

The Geography Department seeks to appoint an exceptional scholar as a Teaching Fellow with teaching interests in the broad field of physical geography (and a focus on paleoclimatic reconstruction would be advantageous) for a period of up to 12 months ending on or before 31st August 2018.

The post of Teaching Fellow will involve a significant teaching load, including during the summer period, and there will be related scholarship and the opportunity for administrative duties which relate to education and pedagogy. This post is to cover whilst we seek a permanent replacement for a colleague who has retired. This post is therefore for a fixed term of 12 months or until 31st August 2018 and it is not anticipated that the post will be extended beyond this fixed term.

For informal enquiries please contact Professor Mike Bentley, Head of Department.
