Mail Room Coordinator
About the position
The Mailroom Coordinator is an integral member of the Student Housing/Mailroom team within the Office of Commercial Services. This role is pivotal as a first point of contact for internal and external clients with a strong commitment to customer service. The position is responsible for overseeing the provision of mail and courier services to and from the University, and for ensuring the integrity of Central Records.
The Mailroom Coordinator provides advice to Faculties and Business Units regarding the most economical use of postal and courier services for their domestic and international requirements; on the requirements of postal and customs regulations and legislation, and on workplace health and safety regulations related to handling and packaging of mail and courier items.
This is a part time position for which the indicative hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
About the person:
The successful candidate will possess a Year 12 certificate along with a minimum five years’ experience in a similar position. Excellent administration and organisational skills are required, along with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and demonstrate flexibility in dealing with people in competing demands.
Self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team is essential, as is a commitment to excellent customer service. Due to the inherent requirements of the role, the ability to carry out manual handling tasks in accordance with WHS policy and procedures is a necessity.

Remuneration for the appointment will commence at $57,664.98 per annum pro-rata plus 9.5% superannuation.
