Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is developing a reputation as one of the UK’s most innovative and effective higher education institutions.

With a clear strategic vision to create the University of the Future and a Gold ranking in the recent Teaching Excellence Framework, we have an award-winning approach to providing outstanding teaching and learning which transforms the lives of our students and a commitment to undertaking world-class research which shapes the prosperity of our local communities. We have deep-rooted links to business and industry within the region and beyond and play a pivotal role in driving economic growth.

Spanning our Clifton and Brackenhurst Campuses, the College of Science and Technology comprises the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences and the School of Science and Technology. By combining an exciting multi-disciplinary mix of subjects with embedded industry collaboration, the College creates an environment that encourages and inspires our future innovators. With an ambitious strategy for growth predicated upon the expansion of our research and teaching provision - including the significant enhancement of our engineering portfolio - an increase in student numbers and a multi-million pound investment in facilities on both campuses, we are now seeking to appoint a new Pro Vice-Chancellor and Head of College to drive forward our academic, partnership, and commercial aspirations.

Reporting directly into the Vice-Chancellor, the new post holder will also play a critical role in corporate management of the University and the delivery of NTU’s broader strategic ambitions. As such we are seeking an exceptional leader with first rate academic credentials, highly developed organisational acumen and the requisite ambassadorial qualities to extend the reach and reputation of the College and the University regionally, nationally and internationally.
