School of Dentistry The UQ School of Dentistry has a long and proud tradition of 81 years of strength in dental education and dental research, and it attracts high achieving students across Australia and internationally. UQ is a leading source of expertise in the local, national and international dental community and has been a key contributor to achieving effective solutions to contemporary issues and challenges in dentistry and oral health.
The role
The role of Clinical Academic within the School of Dentistry contributes principally to clinical teaching in oral medicine and research. A contribution to the scholarship of teaching is encouraged and contribution to service and engagement is expected.
A combination of full time and part time positions are available.
The person We are seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate with a passion for clinically focused teaching and research in Orthodontics. Applicants should possess an advanced professional qualification in Orthodontics as a Dental Specialist and hold full registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a Dental Specialist. Applicants must demonstrate ability and enthusiasm in high quality clinical teaching in dentistry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
A Research Higher Degree (PhD or equivalent) is desirable.

These roles are both full and part-time positions; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
Remuneration
These are a full-time and part-time continuing appointments at Academic Level B, C or D, which will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
The level B remuneration package will be in the range of $92,142 - $109,419 p.a. FTE, plus Dental Loading of $15,175 p.a FTE, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $125,560 - $145,775 p.a. FTE).
The level C remuneration package will be in the range of $112,874 - $130,150 p.a. FTE, plus Dental Loading of $15,175 p.a FTE, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $149,817 - $170,030 p.a. FTE).
The level D remuneration package will be in the range of $135,909 - $149,731 p.a. FTE, plus Dental Loading of $15,175 p.a FTE, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $176,768 - $192,940 p.a. FTE).
