Salary:     £22,494 to £26,829 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Division of Primary Care is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Research Programme Co-ordinator to provide high quality administrative management and co-ordination of a recently awarded National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Programme Grant (PRoTeCT) which is led by Professor Anthony Avery. Using a series of linked studies, the overall aim of the PRoTeCT Programme is to evaluate two interventions aimed at improving the safety of prescribing in English general practices, and generate NHS policy recommendations. The PRoTeCT Programme will run from March 2017 to September 2021.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and highly efficient individual with the ability to use their own initiative and judgement to prioritise and manage a diverse workload. The successful candidate must have experience of providing administrative and financial support to complex multi-centre research studies and/or clinical trials within a Higher Education or NHS setting. High standards, excellent organisational and communications skills and strong interpersonal skills are essential in this post as well as highly developed IT and computing skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and work to tight deadlines, and be willing to work flexibly to meet the varied demands of this busy role.  

This is a part time post (18 hours per week) to be worked over three days. The post is available on a fixed term contract to 28 February 2020 in the first instance.
