Candidates must hold a PhD (or completion within 5 months from the appointment) in Aerospace Engineering /Mechanical Engineering /Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline. Excellent research skills, ideally supported by an established track record of high quality research outputs are required and the ability to attract funding for major research projects is a distinct advantage. The person appointed will be expected to conduct ongoing original research for publication and play a lead role in a multidisciplinary environment.

Experience of teaching and tutorial work in relevant subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level in an international English-speaking institution is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Aerospace Engineering, and to play a lead role in collaborative research projects and conduct ongoing original research and publications.

Salary will be within the range of £34,956 – £46,924 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this is subject to performance). In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

This post is available from beginning of 1 September 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter and will be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of up to five years.
