Leeds College of Art has played a central role in providing specialist education in the arts for more than 170 years and has developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students.

A vacancy has arisen for a Pathway Leader in the Fine Art pathway on the Foundation Diploma. The duties of the post include teaching general visual language in the introductory stage of this one-year course and then taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of the Fine Art specialist area of the course. There will also be administrative responsibilities in addition to the teaching.

The Fine Art area deals predominantly with students who are interested in applying for degree courses across the full range of Fine art disciplines. These include: Painting; Sculpture; Printmaking; Drawing; Photography; Film & Video; Environmental art; Performance; History of Art.

Applicants should have a degree in a related subject, a teaching qualification, and possess the ability to teach on and lead the Fine Art specialist pathway area, experience of teaching in the FE sector would be desirable.
