Energy Systems Integration Partnership Programme (ESIPP) is an €11m capacity building project co-funded by Science Foundation Ireland, industry and philanthropic donation. The collaborative project spans a number of disciplines, such as Electrical, Chemical and Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Consumer Behaviour and Technology Adoption. The ESIPP programme will focus on Energy Systems Integration (ESI) which is a multidisciplinary area ranging from science, engineering and technology to policy, economics, regulation and human behaviour. ESI is coming to the fore in the planning, design and operation of the global energy system and seeks to optimise the energy system and other large-scale infrastructures, in particular water, by leveraging the synergies across all scales and pathways (i.e. electricity, fuels & heat).
