As a result of our growing activities in research to exploit renewable energy, the Queen’s School of Engineering (Civil, Aerospace and Mechanical) is seeking to make an appointment to the position of Lecturer in Aeroelastics.

Suitable candidates for the post will have a strong academic and/or industrial background in research related to the aeroelastic design and the mechanics of composite materials as applied to wind turbine blades. Preferably, they will have some experience in engineering industry and, ideally, in the renewable energy sector.

Applicants must demonstrate an excellent knowledge of their research specialism and demonstrate plans to develop their research and teaching and how this will link to and expand existing activities in Engineering, the University and external partners and stakeholders. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching and administration in Aerospace Engineering and will have an opportunity to align their research with activities with the Bristol Composites Institute ACCIS.
