Associate Professor/Professor of Physiotherapy
About the position
The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine is seeking to appoint a full-time Associate Professor / Professor of Physiotherapy. The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to the Doctor of Physiotherapy Program, the Faculty and University by providing leadership in research and scholarship, teaching, academic administration and community engagement. Specific areas of responsibility will include strategic leadership and further development of the Doctor of Physiotherapy’s flagship program of research, involving close collaboration with industry partners, and preparing Physiotherapy students for evidence based practice.
About the person:
Applications from PhD qualified Physiotherapists from any field of Physiotherapy practice will be considered. The successful applicant will demonstrate capacity to develop and oversee programs of collaborative and applied research that encompass varied physiotherapy fields and methodologies. Experience in research leadership, research program and project management, research design and statistics, and in evidence based physiotherapy practice will be essential.
The successful applicant will also demonstrate a strong national or international research profile, through their track record in research publications, research supervision and securing of external research funding. They will be a capable educator and have strong links with appropriate external professional organisations.

The appointment will be offered on a continuing basis. Salary will be negotiated and commensurate with skills and experience. Salary packaging options are available.
