Job Description

Manage all day-to-day operations of the Center for Polymer Studies (Center) including organization, coordination, and management of administrative and budgetary areas of the Center. Ensure administrative tasks in the Center are executed effectively and efficiently. Manage department budgets, purchasing, event and meeting planning, assigns computer accounts, oversees printer and computer repairs, administration of HR activities, and facilities and equipment. Manages multiple grants, gift accounts, and individual project budgets, including reporting to funding agencies. Develop department policies and processes and communicates University and Center policies to faculty, staff, and students as appropriate. Plan and complete longer-term, complex projects to support the operations and programs of the Center. Handle special projects, provides calendar management, and handles travel plans for the director and 40 members of the Center. Supervise student workers. Provide visa support for international students and scholars.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. preferred, Assoc/Voc/Tech degree required. One to three years of experience.
