The LSHTM Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is within the Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, a leading postgraduate institution in global health. We are a WHO Collaborating Centre in Violence and Injury Prevention, and the Cochrane Injuries Group is based within our Faculty. We are a centre of excellence supporting the development and evaluation of public health and health care interventions worldwide. The CTU has an international reputation for its clinical trials, especially in the area of emergency care and our collaborative network extends to over 50 countries worldwide.
The post holder will be involved in the administration of several clinical trials (Phases 2 and 3 according to National and International Regulations and ICH guidelines) under direction of the Trial Manager and Clinical Coordinator. They will need to demonstrate outstanding organisational and communication skills and the ability to work as an integral part of a team. They will be responsible to the Trials Manager and work closely with the Trials Administrator.
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Trial Administrator to play a key role in our current programme of clinical trials. Excellent organisational, numeric and administrative skills are required, with attention to detail an absolute must. The team consists of a group of enthusiastic and committed people with responsibilities for trial management, data management and administration. The post holders will work closely with Trial Administrators and will make a significant contribution to the successful completion of the currently ongoing trials.
It is available on a full time, fixed term basis commencing as soon as possible and available for 12 months in the first instance. The salary will be on the LSHTM Professional Support Grade 3 scale, in the range £24,330–£27,584 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the SAUL Pension Scheme is available.
