Background

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Our Faculty of Education provides outstanding programmes, projects and research for thousands of teachers in all sectors of education and at all stages of their careers enabling teachers, schools and colleges to become leaders in learning. We are dedicated to lifelong learning from the early years through adult education and into education for ‘the third age’.
The Role

Reporting to the Faculty Director of Early Childhood, you will be responsible for the day to day delivery of teaching and learning experiences on early childhood employment based and undergraduate programmes. You will also contribute to teaching on other programmes in the Faculty as required. 

The Person 

You will have experience of working with young children in health, education, social care or criminal justice systems and hold a relevant first degree or Masters qualification.  You will be required to contribute to the School’s teaching programme including children’s health and wellbeing, safeguarding, child protection and/or creativity and play.

Research project experience and publications would be an advantage.
