The College of Health Science (CHS) was founded in 2016 following a 30-year success story as a department within various colleges at Qatar University. CHS is the national provider of high quality health sciences education and research in Qatar and offers undergraduate (BSc) programs in biomedical sciences, human nutrition and public health, as well as graduate programs; (MSc) in biomedical science and master of public health (MPH).

Duties & Responsibilities
1.Assume responsibility of assisting students on matters related to admissions, financial aid, scholarships, academics and student life.
2.Be responsible for interpretation and implementation of University policies and regulations related to student affairs.
3.Receive and provide detailed information and explanations to students on college and university requirements, processes, and deadlines.
4.Participate in the organization of admissions and registration.
5.Complete and approve forms concerning course or program changes, interdepartmental or inter-university registration, and residency and internship programs.
6.Assist academic advisors in relation to matters such as equivalencies, recognition of courses from other institutions, transfer of credits and probationary status, etc.
7.Engage with admission committee and prepare related student documents and files overseeing the process of the admission/major selection process.
8.If applicable, coordinate and schedule student interviews for new admission and/ or major selection, in close coordination with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and HoDs.
9.Distribute application forms and provide information on procedures and deadlines.
10.Verify that student files are complete and, as required, ensures necessary linkage with the admissions process.
11.Liaise with students, teaching staff, departments, faculty, and service units to provide explanations related to academic regulations, student records, programs.
12.Monitor and control enrollment in courses in cooperation with cluster student affairs specialist and academic departments.
13.Liaise with and assist the Research and Graduate Studies unit with coordination of postgraduate students admission, registration, and study plan follow-up.
14.Organize specific operations with regard to exam scheduling and invigilation and prepare timetables and schedules room bookings.
15.Handle matters of student complaints, ethical violations, and grievances.
16.Make suitable arrangements with relevant University offices to facilitate conference attendance by students.
17.Receive transfer student lists from the records section and coordinate with the college in regard student selection decisions.
18.Represent the college in the joined cluster SA committee and other QU student-related committees.
19.Liaise with the SA director with regard to strategic development of the Student Affairs office, e.g. to further develop the integration of student affairs activities.
20.Liaise with the cluster office for joint student outreach initiatives such as school visits, career fairs, etc.
21.Provide regular updates on the student information (e.g. applications, student performance, etc.) to the SA director for joint reporting to cluster leadership team.
22.Participate/contribute to subcommittees at the cluster-level as applicable and requested by the SA director
1.MSc/MBA in a relevant disciplinary area from an accredited university (preferable)
2.Experience and track record of work in academic environment, experience student affairs administration is preferred
3.Knowledge of US-type of education and its requirements
4.Customer-service orientation and positive attitude (strong interpersonal skills)
5.Willingness to collaboratively work with others
6.Excellent written and oral communication skills (Arabic and English)
