Reporting to the Director RMIT English Worldwide, the Deputy Director, REW Melbourne, is responsible and accountable for managing the delivery of REW programs and supporting the student life cycle. The role partners with the Director, REW to deliver overall accountability for a positive and rewarding student experience and teacher engagement.  It ensures that objectives in quality, resourcing, budgets, reporting and professional development are met.

The Position

The Deputy Director will be a strong, and experienced operational manager with the ability to play a key role as part of a managementteam.  The role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated in a variety of relevant settings, coupled with knowledge of the issues currently affecting ELICOS and international education.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the management of a complex unit with a diverse and comprehensive set of functions and significant resources.  Well-developed leadership, coaching and mentoring skills will be essential as will be the ability to operate with a strong degree of cultural sensitivity.  Extensive TESOL experience will be key.

International experience and a familiarity with the peak industry bodies and compliance requirements related to ELICOS will be highly regarded.
