About the role


  • You will have responsibility for the academic leadership of a programme, including curriculum design and development, teaching, learning and assessment, and the assurance and enhancement of academic standards.
  • You will lead on the development and delivery of an outstanding student experience across the programme.
  • You will be responsible for the day to day operational management of programme staffing and resources.
  • You may be asked to take on additional leadership roles as you develop skills and experience.

 To be successful, you will need to be degree qualified in the relevant area and demonstrate an understanding of the HE sector.  You will possess a proven track record in improving standards of achievement and have a detailed knowledge and understanding of student needs and the challenges within the industry. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to think creatively, especially in the challenging environment of an organisation undergoing rapid change, while being a true motivator of people and teams.

This is an exciting time for GSM London.  We seek to appoint a Programme Leader, and senior lecturer to run our well established Foundation Programme. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dynamic individual with qualifications and experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes or Numeracy.

We are looking for applicants with several years experience of leading or making a significant contribution to the leadership of either Foundation or other equivalent pre-degree / HE preparatory courses. Applicants will be ambitious and highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills and be team players with the ability to inspire, lead and manage staff and students.
