The Centre for Health Informatics (CHI) is one of three research centres in the Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI). Founded in 1999, CHI is the longest-running health informatics research centre in Australia. CHI is a research partner to major healthcare providers, research institutions and governments, and has national and international industry partnerships. The Australasian College of Health Informatics is the professional organisation for Health Informatics in the Asia-Pacific Region.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Fellowships Program Manager to develop a new Fellowship Program to support a Health Informatics Fellowship pathway in conjunction with the Australasian College of Health Informatics (ACHI).

The successful applicant will work with the Director of CHI, Fellows and Executive of the Australasian College of Health Informatics, Health Informatics professionals, industry and University staff. You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Fellowship program. Ideally, you will have had experience as a coordinator of a professional development program or in a similar role including organising events, seminars and professional development activities within the health/IT industry. You will have excellent organisation, communications and networking skills.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this position, applicants must provide a cover letter addressing the selection criteria below along with their resume as part of the application process.

  1. Bachelor degree in health or communications or related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of professional development programs, events and administrative systems
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with Fellows, industry, health/IT professionals and other key stakeholders
  4. Strong project management or coordination skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and to meet deadlines
  5. Self-motivated with the ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously
  6. Strong written communication skills and experience with digital communication
  7. Demonstrated computer skills including MS Office and database management

Desirable

  1. A sound understanding of the health informatics/health IT industry and health sector in Australia

Salary Package:  from $77,894 - $85,982 (pro rata) per annum, (HEW Level 6), plus 9.5% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.

Appointment Type: Part-time (2.5 days per week), 12mths fixed term position
