About the Role

Reporting to the Dean, this position will teach in the discipline area of Humanities and Social Science Education (ECE and Primary) and Generalist Studies in Education; conduct research; and supervise Higher Degree Research students.

With a PhD in Education, you will have previous teaching experience and eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers and demonstrated successful teaching experience in school settings.    Ideally you will be able to contribute to teaching and research in the areas of Education for Sustainability, Indigenous education and regional, rural and remote education.  

You will need to demonstrate successful experience working collaboratively in teams as well as with key stakeholders as you support community engagement and work collaboratively with schools, community agencies and professional bodies to support education across the tropics in line with the University’s Strategic Intent.

As well as supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in appropriate studies, you will actively identify promising research topics, and collaborations in order to make significant contributions to the College’s research profile, grow funded research and actively recruit students.
