Ref: SES1702a - 3255

This post offers an exciting opportunity to participate in the delivery of a range of Physical Education modules (HND, undergraduate, postgraduate and research) but with specific focus on dance and gymnastics.
The post arises from the continuing expansion of the subject area at the University of Worcester and links to current and future curriculum initiatives within the Institute of Sport and Exercise Science, including consultancy work. It involves leading and teaching primarily in the areas of physical education from a theoretical and practical perspective, and could involve some cross programme /course delivery(sports coaching, sport science).
All staff undertake a number of additional duties and, whilst these are subject to negotiation with the Head of Institute at annual review, they normally include consideration of income generation potential.

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate an innovative approach to teaching and support for students through the use of a wide range of learning resources and appropriate pedagogic practice. You will have expertise of teaching a range of practical and theoretical areas in Physical Education, and also experience of teaching National Curriculum Physical Education (UK) at secondary and/or primary school level, specifically in the areas of gymnastics and/or dance.

Closing date: 10 May 2017.
