We are currently looking for a Research Centres Communications and Coordination Officer to join the Directorate. The role offers the post-holder the opportunity to play a critical role in the growth and success of the Malaria Centre and up to 2 other LSHTM Centres. The post holder will work closely with Centre Directors and members to develop the Centres, with a focus on improving communications and coordination. Additionally, the post holder will work with the Centres Support team within the Communications and Engagement Division to ensure Centres effectively utilise School resources available to them.

The successful candidate will hold a higher education qualification to degree level or equivalent experience, knowledge of public and global health research and experience of communicating scientific research to a non-academic audience. The post holder will have experience of working independently and taking initiative to enact improvements. A willingness to undertake UK or Non-UK travel is essential.

The post is full time and fixed-term until 2 July 2018. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 5 scale in the range £33,006 to £37,889 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this, there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
