Senior Teaching Fellow – Civil Engineering , School of Engineering

Full Time, Permanent

Can you channel your expertise to inspire and challenge tomorrow’s Engineers?

We are welcoming applications for four Senior Teaching Fellow Posts within the specialist areas of Systems and Information, Civil, Electrical and Electronic, and Mechanical Engineering.

Warwick’s School of Engineering collaborates with WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group), to offer an esteemed general engineering education in the first two years of our degrees.  Students gain increasing discipline specialism in the second years of our BEng and MEng courses with staff from both departments contributing to the delivery of teaching.  By year three, our undergraduates are able to completely specialise in a specific engineering discipline.

You will be joining us at a time of intense progress. We are transforming our teaching infrastructure through a £5m Engineering Build Centre enabling students to realise their ideas as part of their degree programmes and extracurricular enrichment activity.  This facility will particularly benefit mechanical and design projects and we expect it to be up and running for the start of the 2017/18 academic year.  We are also redeveloping and expanding our laboratory provision to support the undergraduate curriculum which has recently been refreshed to enhance our strong, career-focussed degrees.

We are seeking to appoint candidates with proven experience, ability and achievements in higher education or equivalent industrial training. You will possess extensive specialist knowledge in your field to provide inspirational teaching, develop a quality learning experience and devise rigorous assessments.
