Research and Teaching Fellow / PhD Position / Postdoc Position

according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
The position will start at the earliest possible date and is initially limited for 3 years with possibility of extension up to 6 years. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG). The position aims at obtaining further academic qualification (e.g. PhD or habilitation thesis).
The scientific activities of the Chair of Materials Science and Nanotechnology are focused on developing non-conventional strategies for novel materials and devices with intrinsic nanoscale complexity. Biological complexity suggests optimal routes for design of bottom-up advanced materials.
Tasks: research activities on environmental nanotechnology in cooperation with internal and external academic and industrial partners, participation in the acquisition of third party grants and the assistance in the teaching activities of the chair.
Requirements: excellent university degree and if possible doctorate in Science or Engineering. We target at a top-notch dedicated and proactive young scientist with excellent communication and writing skills in English who plans to make her/his mark in science.
