University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is the leading international provider of supported online learning for the Built Environment; with over 90 years’ experience in providing the highest quality learning opportunities for the industry.  We are also at the forefront of educating surveying apprentices in the UK, having launched our Level 3 and Level 6 Surveying Technician Diploma in 2015.

In this teaching role on the Level 3 Diploma you will:

  • Develop and deliver units in subject areas of Construction, Built Environment studies, Real Estate or Quantity Surveying
  • Support the retention and achievement of Level 3 apprentices
  • Co-ordinate programme delivery
  • Work closely with apprentice Programme Leader(s) to provide academic support to students
  • Produce timely reports of the apprentices’ progress

In addition to the above, you will be involved in and contribute to the development of new programmes, and you will be expected to use your industry contacts to enhance the programme offering.

You must have experience in delivering or supporting training or teaching in a face to face or online environment, in the above subject areas. Relevant academic qualifications are essential, and if you do not have a teaching qualification, you must be prepared to undertake one. The following skills are essential: strong communication and IT skills, with energy and enthusiasm to help our students succeed in their studies and their careers. You will be expected to deliver workshops at fixed times of the year at specific UK locations, so a willingness to travel is a must.

Working within the Education – Learning and Teaching department, you will help to deliver the Level 3 Surveying Technician Diploma programme, providing both teaching and overarching academic support to students. You will work closely with the apprentice programme leader(s) to promote and enhance student performance, as well as retention and success through support activities.

A recognised teaching qualification combined with relevant experience in delivering learning and teaching activities is essential. Strong communication and IT skills, with energy and enthusiasm to help our students succeed in their studies and their careers is also a must. You may also be required to travel should you be required to deliver workshops at specific UK locations.
