UQ Rural Clinical School (UQRCS)
Funded through the Australian Government's Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training program, the University of Queensland Rural Clinical School (UQRCS) works to build and sustain a skilled and vibrant health care workforce appropriate to the needs of Queensland country towns. UQRCS is the largest Rural Clinical School in Australia within a single University with a footprint extending across Central and Southern regional Queensland. Program activities centre on the regional sites of Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Rockhampton, and Toowoomba. There is a proud history of working in partnership with regional health care systems and service providers, to engage with and influence every stage of the rural health learning continuum. The journey starts with learners of rural origin, progresses through undergraduate and prevocational training and culminates with contributions in the vocational and Continuing Professional Development space. Our mandate is to improve health services and outcomes for rural and regional communities through the highest quality health education, training and research.
The successful appointee will contribute to optimal learning and living experiences for medical students attached to UQRCS in Rockhampton through the delivery of high quality, client-focussed student and academic administrative and support services.
Applicants should possess a degree and, ideally, previous experience in student and academic administration. The successful applicant will have strong organisational skills, experience in the use of a range of computer packages, in addition to excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines. The appointee will require the ability to foster a client service working environment and build and maintain rapport with a range of stakeholders including academic and clinical staff as well as students. Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive issues, maintain confidentiality and to provide impartial advice is essential.
This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,597.80 - $72,348.94p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,579.43- $84,648.26p.a.).
