About the job

As the Project Officer: Student Placements and Internships, you will provide high level project and operational support to expand placement and other work integrated learning opportunities for students in the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment.  You will develop a deep knowledge of the Division’s programs and current curriculum and link that with your knowledge of industry developments, negotiating with employers to secure work integrated learning opportunities for the Division’s student cohort.

Skills and Experience

An undergraduate qualification and demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience is essential, as is expertise in building and fostering networks and relationships with clients and stakeholders.  You will also have high level interpersonal skills and previous experience in successfully negotiating with people at a variety of levels. 

Your ability to operate strategically in a changing work environment, along with knowledge of and experience with industries that employ graduates from the Division’s discipline areas will ensure your success in this role.
